January 29, 2012by adam1

Camp Moshava, Wild Rose is excited to announce the return of Rabbi Danny and Shira Kroll for summer 2012. This summer Rabbi Kroll will be up on The Hill for his fourth run at Rosh Machal while Shira will be overseeing the entire camp as assistant director, a position in which she has already begun serving on a part time basis since January. “The Kroll’s are an invaluable asset to Moshava” said Director Josh Zwelling, “throughout the ten plus years that they have already spent on tzevet they have demonstrated a gifted ability to lead programming and inspire campers through informal education, guided by their love for Medinat Yisrael and Bnei Akiva’s values”

Shira (Biber) Kroll has been coming to camp for twenty consecutive summers. In the past few summers she has been Assistant Director, Rosh MIT and Rosh Sport. Shira also works at the Associated Talmud Torahs as a Government Program liaison, working to secure government funds for Chicago area day schools.

Rabbi Danny Kroll started coming to Camp Moshava as a chanich in 1995 and hasn’t missed a summer since.  This will be Rabbi Kroll’s fourth summer as Rosh Machal. In the past few years he has also served as Rosh MIT, Rosh Moshava and Rosh Kollel.

Rabbi and Mrs. Kroll will be in camp with their two daughters Rayli and Talia. When he’s not at camp, Rabbi Kroll is the assistant rabbi at Congregation KINS of West Rogers Park in Chicago, and a teacher at Ida Crown Jewish Academy.

Rabbi Kroll is an avid tweeter, you can follow him at @machalwildrose. Here is the end of the month video from summer 2011 starring Shevet Na’aleh
